What a match. Probably the one I’ve most enjoyed watching all season. Yateley scored against the U14 boys team at either end of the first half leaving Wycombe 2-0 down at half time. The boys played well in the middle period before the interval, but couldn’t find the goal, despite a good amount of time in the D. The second half didn’t start well and before long we were 4-0 down. Yet the team rallied and recovered to 4-3; lots of flowing moves up the sides of the pitch and it looked like we’d get the equaliser, but weren’t able to get the ball across the line for a 4th goal. Eddie and Louis controlled the match well in the middle – Louis was my man of the match; goals from Louis, Hugo and a top bins screamer from Theo. Nerve wrecking stuff in the second half with the travelling support willing the team on. Great effort! One match to go on the 23rd.
