The Club acknowledges that it has a duty of care towards all young and vulnerable people and that it can help to protect them from abuse.
The Club is not in a position to identify and deal with situations of abuse but must refer any suspicions to the appropriate authorities.
To this end the Club will nominate a Welfare Officer who must have attended a recognised training course on Good Practice and Child Protection such as that provided by Sports Coach UK.
All Club members, officials and volunteers have a responsibility to report any concerns promptly to the Club Welfare Officer who will pass them on to the appropriate authorities.
