The rain cleared in time for the boys U14 team to compete against Marlow in the plate cup competition today. We started a little slow and were soon chasing Marlow from 2 goals down. Once the sluggishness faded, Wycombe played well. Lots of attacking moves down the right wing enabled Theo to scoop 4 goals either side of half time as part of a thrilling 6-5 victory. Josh and Jack were always part of the action up front and picked up a goal each. Great work from Tom in goal – first time in a couple of years. Lucas marshalled the defence really well and everyone in the team contributed to a good win – nice to see the pre-match attacking drills down the right of the pitch put to good use. Great support from the sidelines and thanks to Ziggy and Sophie for officiating the match so well.
