WHC are excited to announce a new coach for the ladies’ section… Joining us for the coming season and brining a wealth of experience is ex-National League and England International Lucy Newcombe. Lucy was a member of the England team that brought home a silver medal from the Commonwealth Games in 1998. Lucy is currently Head Coach for the Ladies’ RAF side and has previosly won the Combined Services Sportswoman of the Year Award for her services to hockey.

Lucy says: “I am really excited to be joining Wycombe Hockey Club this year as Ladies’ 1s Coach, having recently retired from the Royal Air Force. For the first period of my retirement I spent 18 months walking around the coast of Britain and am now enjoying being back in one place! I have been coaching for a number of years and currently coach the RAF Ladies Team and at England Hockey Performance Centres. I was attracted to coach at Wycombe as the club has a positive reputation with strong adult and junior sections. I am really looking forward to getting going this summer in pre-season and also to meeing everyone at the club.”
