A blustary match ahead of storm Isha made for challenging conditions for all. Huge thanks to Sophie and Colin for umpiring. Reading had some stronger players out, when the Wycombe U14s were able to link the passes, flowing moves were the result and the team were able to apply pressure throughout the match. A loss today – altough 2 nicely taken goals from Theo as compensation. Thanks for all the support from the sideline.

Some nice hockey played today by the U14 boys team. They enjoyed a competitive game from which they came out on top with 4 goals to 2. The U14s are building in confidence and are now prepared to pass the ball around the team, waiting for the best opportunity to press forward. Goals from Jack, Josh, Eddie and Theo. Great work!!!!
So I don’t think you can get any more wet playing hockey than the boys U14 team did today at Henley. A satisfying way to finish this half of the season with a 2-1 win over a team who had some strong players. A loss by 2 goals to nil, but a definite improvement since we last played Slough. At times the boys played some flowing hockey moves with good passing evident against an opposition who had some strong players.
Wycombe U14 boys’ performance brightened up what was a very damp, cold autumnal day. Wycombe went quickly ahead with a flowing move down the left hand side of the pitch; intricate passing from the halfway line all the way to Theo in front of goal was very satisfying to watch.
